Hello Again, Remember Me
Hello again, remember me?
I'm the one you didn't want
I'm the one you didn't see
Years of anguish followed on
All the doubts hammered in
All the cries you didn't hear
Always treated like a sin
Years of crawling on the ground
Feeling stupid for being here
Feeling wrong with every sound
Never finding my feet on the road of your contempt
Always feeling the fear of voicing any words I meant
Hello again, remember me
I'm the one you tried to break
Now I live free
I'm the runt of your pack
The one who out grew the rest
I had fend for myself, I had to build a life with dust
Hello again, look in my eyes and you can see
You were always looking back, you were always in me
I took my inspiration from the face that faced my eyes when I could see
I promised I would make the face I hate a good person who deserved a life
Who deserved to live
Regardless of what you did to me.
