Helen Meets the Cloud Guys
HELEN MEETS THE CLOUD GUYS
“I saw it! Did you see?”
“Where?” she says to me.
“In the sky . . .in the clouds I saw
A great fat curly dinosaur. . .
See the hills, the monsters, the feathers, the ice cream?”
She says, “You mean like in a dream?”
“Kinda, they’re all in disguise
And you gotta find ‘em in the skies.”
Ok, I got it now - she laughs and sighs
“The guys in disguise in the skies”
I laughs and says, “Hel, it’s a prob when you’re three,
But it’s easy when you’re thirty three.”
She looks at me and at the sky -
“When we go home for tea and apple pie
Please will you tell me a story out loud
About those feathery monsters in the cloud?”
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
