Heartless Goddess
Even when I want to free myself
And turn to other ‘amants’
My heart still whispers
‘Oh, but I love her.’
And so I falter
And hurry back to you
And plead innocence
To a heartless goddess!
But now more than ever
I must turn my back on you
And conjure my selfish heart
To let go this silly fixation!
Would you deign to stop me?
