Heartbreak
How much pain can one soul take?
Even the strongest of hearts are fragile and they do break
Behind closed doors we're all human, not robots for goodness sake
An overflow of tears if collected you'd create your own lake
Everyone has skeletons in their closets, we've all made a mistake
Still life presses on and is furthest from a piece of cake
Some hide it so well but their smiles are fake
Beyond smiles are earth-shattering pain and fear they try hard to shake
Alone it's an extra difficult journey to make
Throw in an extra dash of tender loving care into recipes for the relationships you bake
Be kind and give to others and don't just take
You'll be glad to have them in your corner picking up broken puzzle pieces helping to mend when your heart does break
