This could be Tim and me as well as all other Tom's, Dick's, Harry's, Kim's, Dot's and Mary's who were saved by love; truly a universal tanka on never giving up on love. You done good, Connie! Poetry hugs ... CayCay

What a wonderful Tanka, Connie! I find them very hard to write, because they are so short. But you sure did a great job.

Me too Becca. This is only the third one I have ever written. To me they are more difficult than haiku. Thank you Becca. xxoo

These Tanka are so difficult because of the short syllable count. This is only the third one ever I have written, so your fave is very meanngful Maria. Thank you very much. How are you doing? I am on the mend. xxoo

Wounded hearts are the easiest to catch. They usually run to love instead of away from it. Lovely tanka Mrs Connie. Good luck sweetie:)

That is such a nice comment Vijay. I appreciate it so much. This is only the third Tanka I have ever written. The brevity of this form makes it a challenge for me. Thank you my friend! : )

Oh, this is a nice and deep one. Love that he steps "through a low portal" - there are many ways to describe a passage, and this has a special vibe. Good luck in the contest.

oh, so it is literal, LOL. I was picturing the low portal (love the repeated "o" sound) as something mystical :)
