Heart of Mine

When I was a sinner And you were a saint You offered me your brush And taught me how to paint When I was a sailor Lost out in the sea You were the mermaid That came to rescue me When I was a poor man And you were the queen You broke every single rule And came to share my dream When all was so desperate There was no hope at all You’re the one that helped me up And taught me not to fall Things are not all roses Covered in candy and cream You must take pride and work hard To ever reach your dream We have found our balance And we have found our place We sit on life's teeter-totter And move at our own pace Seems our road was always rocky And the ruts were never small Our love has been strong enough To carry us through it all As the years fly by us And we wonder where they went The fact you share them with me Make them heaven sent All that I am saying From this moment through out time You will be the dearest thing Up in this heart of mine

Michael, I've been married going on 16 years and with my wife for a total of 18 years. We had very rough times, but they are just tests of what two hearts destined to be with each other go through. If you can stand upon the shore looking back on the tests, you can do anything together. Such a lovely read and I am sorry for going on as I did. Michael
