This morning, I took an early stroll
and saw, before my eye,
a spider upon his dewy web,
lit by sun rays from the sky.
Sun and dew, created a rainbow hue
from which the spider spoke:
"Good morning, sir, I say to you,
I'm glad to see that you awoke.
Look upon this wonderful web
which I lightly stand upon.
There are some things for you to see
before your time is gone.
As all of us walk on threads like strings,
we pluck them as we go.
Our vibrations create noise or harmony
for ourselves, and our sis and bro.
Together, we can write a symphony
as long as we're in tune,
with gentle heart, and mindful eye,
as we all commune.
When we hurt someone, it reverberates.
Don't think 'no harm is done.'
Vibrations traverse the web and return to us.
You see, we are all one.
We, too, must be gentle with ourselves,
as we must be with others.
If we harm ourselves, it affects
our sisters and our brothers.
If you think life is a single sum game,
only win-lose or lose-win,
look deeper. You'll see lose-lose or win-win
on this pretty web I spin.
Don't be blinded by competition.
Give your gentle heart a try,
and watch the wondrous beauty unfold
before your mindful eye."
