Heart and Mind

The heart can be so fragile, from hurting times gone by Feeling like a sea shell tossed by waves, it cannot cry Sometimes feeling numb, as the cold moving tide When one then searches for a place where it can hide With a memory attached for years, it doesn’t forget It still echoes like the sea shell, every beat a soft duet The fragile heart will always sing, stories left untold As the mind whispers memories, it will always hold But this fabric of life, can be a blanket in the cold With willingness to let the churning ocean, unfold Heidi Sands 11/19/22

Poignant and reflective as human mind is. A poem of memories, true to real life.
