A Poem to give us hope after the Wuhan Corona virus Pandemic.
1. Fields of much promise, but no grass and no soil
the world not so round getting flat and shapeless
necks stretched for faces to look up to heaven
and arms open for a new salvation song.
But God have seemed deaf and then gone quarantine
not to make the waters and the skies blue again
for the long awaited morning to come and shine,
the light of hope and peace to us once again.
Nature has stopped its breakfast to our souls
Giving us sharp bones that has torn our guts
To glorify death that has ambushed the world
And nations stripped as they fall down on their bare knees.
Life, is subdued, guilty of racketeering
Hades wears two hundred thousand plus, black crowns
Happiness has partially lost its only gene
But we stay strong, firm for the healing of the land…… because

It’s all about you….. It’s all about me
Cleaning the wounds from the deepest cut to the bruises of our hearts we stand again
It’s all about us…..
It’s all about you…. It’s all about me
Standing on the remains of what death has done to us all, we’ve won just because
It’s all about us.
2. Three months away, Glenn plans to go to France
in just few weeks is Helen’s due promotion
Fatima's papa works hard for expansion
and James Chunli awaits his forthcoming child
soon Sanchez will be an undergraduate
Suzie has the ring and just bought the white gown
Waves of misfortune has stopped most of these plans
Sudden rapture, taking loved ones now deep down
Darkness re-invent itself with more teeth
For humanity to face a tough jury,
to stain the garment of history with man’s blood.
Fear, sorrow and pain, all polluting the air
The weak quickly falls, the mighty falls harder
From wuhan to Italy, spain and America
Africa, let’s rise and beat this enemy
Then so we prove, our immunity comes from love… because

3. Combined, we are badly hit by three wars
On the mind, lungs and life, the foe stays as boss
To captured families, the jab is so gross
Life is cooked, anxiety and pain, all the sauce
Blessings of a new year, in abrupt pause
We’ve cried out and prayed, death still comes with a clause
Blow, that is air-bourne, leaving behind broken jaws
Unseen, yet travels through borders on a horse
Lives get missing as it journeys its course
How can a size close to nothing, be the cause?
Condemning survival to be on all fours
Nations seeking protection, behind closed doors
be on a lock-down, or be counted a loss
We’ve always prevailed and bigger than the litmus
We’ll come out stronger, a defeated virus
Let’s hold hands and heal, the world is void without us…. Because
