Sue’s two black eyes speak volumes
Tears form in the corners of her swollen eyes
Such sad eyes, as lifeless as a fish on a stone cold slab
Her mouth quivers as she opens her split lips to speak
But, with his clenched fist digging in the small of her back,
her partner manipulates the situation -
answering all the officer’s questions about her ‘fall’
Thankfully, this cop isn’t a dummy
from past experience, he can spot the signs of domestic abuse ...
