He Really Got Away
You were there every Saturday, so we could play. The years just passed away, as we grew older each day.
You were there for my birthday, but you forgot my bouquet. We would talk for hours, that was just our way. One day you took to the highway, I felt I had been run over on the freeway. What is there left to say, after growing up you got away.
