He Just Didn'T Speak
The boy's mouth never opened
his face and hands spoke
He was, they say, easy to like
played sports, rode his bike...
As an adult, nothing changed
He just didn't speak
Winning friends with a smile,
a gesture, or kiss on the cheek
And when he passed away, as all people do
a silent eulogy accompanied him too
