He Came To Me
He came to me and said, “I love you.”
The words were soft and gentle,
barely blown across the air.
He came to me and held my hand.
A touch so soft and gentle,
I willingly left mine there.
He came to me and I saw Him.
His face so soft and gentle,
I laid my anguished heart bare.
He came to me and fed my soul.
A feast so soft and gentle,
I was grateful for the fare.
He came forth as I needed Him.
His care so soft and gentle,
I offered Him my prayer.
