He came riding on horse-back mysterious was the man he lived in tents and ate birds no one could read his mind in Africa Moons upon moons rose and set he took the land and built cottages natives looked on but he was growing expensive things flocked his stores Horses multiplied and then disappeared rolling baskets came from nowhere and metallic birds made noise often and mysterious man became bird-rider Mysterious man spread tentacles all over and natives looked on without action
