Have They No Shame

Subway, Pirelli, Hellinic bottling company The Citigroup Inc, Herbal life and KFC Also the Kimberly Clark Corporation And Hilton are a disgrace to every peace loving nation. McDonald's have now pulled out and have stopped trading Or they'd have been in this poem that I'm naming and shaming Sanctions will only work if every one is on board To cripple that evil nation we need to cut the cord. There are probably many more and I'll add them when I see They're all still trading in Russia, helping their economy Haven't these companies got one ounce of shame They're indirectly helping Russia to bomb, kill and maim. Show support for Ukraine, show them that you care Buy your food, drinks and services from alternatives elsewhere I'll never buy from them again as long as I'm alive I'd rather die of thirst and hunger rather than see their profits thrive. A big thanks to those companies who've already severed ties And those innocent Russians who have seen through the lies The price of goods will rise but it's a small price to pay To ensure freedom prevails and Putin doesn't get his own way. I was glad to see Biden had enough guts to stop buying Russian oil. I hope he has enough sense to open the oil refineries and pipelines he shut down here in the US when he was elected. I don't mind paying more for petrol if it stops Putin.

I may be the outlier here, but to me it's just one step above virtue-signaling. The reality of the matter is that for every Western corporation that pulls back from Russia, an opportunity exists for China or other such 'countries' to fill the vacuum which Nature so abhors...btw: Did you notice that McDonald's took great pains to state their pullback was 'only temporary.' ~ Bah, humbug! ~ Gershon

Note that they have "suspended" NOT "ended" Russian sales, but not to spite Putin, but because today one Ruble is only worth $0.0069. Best wishes for a better world! Aloha!

Those companies must have read your poem, Tom, because now they're leaving. I feel for the Russian people. Putin will probably retire (under demand) and live a happy life in Switzerland with his love. Where is the justice!

Finally, the US has cut their oil use to nary a drip from Russia and made an arrangement with Poland for fighter jets to be used. Snoopy, come to the rescue!

They (Starbucks and Mc Donalds) changed their positions, I think mainly because they were going to be seriously petitioned if they kept their businesses open in Russia. Better late than never, I guess. Thanks again...ab

I stand side by side with you in this utter grievance toward greedy companies who are showing greed, callousness and total frigidity toward the plight of the Ukrainian people. THEY ARE SHAMELESS!! Thank you Tom for writing this and awakening others who are pretending to be blind, that there are millions of our brother and sister Ukrainians who are greatly suffering from a war of such cruelty, declared by a sociopathic dictator and murderer...ab
