Haunting Halloween
"Haunting Halloween"
whistling winds lace leaves around haunted castle
as ghostly lovers wander dark dreary halls
midnight chimes as eerie essence moves tassle
chains clanging loud behind ebony stone walls ...
candlelight glimmers through foggy windowpanes
while tangerine pumpkins peek glowing in rain.
magic potions are chanted as witches fly
sailing on yellow broomsticks through rainbow sky.
~~~~~~~
vampires awake feasting on blood and bone
haunting Halloween with black capes and white fangs
as skeletons vibrate to bell's somber tone
spiders weave silky mesh webs while weak prey hangs ...
goblins emerge with black cats leering green eyes
wearing masquerade costumes of dark disguise.
moonlight invades shadows slow creeping to scare
as silver stars twinkle for those unaware.
~~~~~~~
one October night beckons all cursed undead
to wander, invisible, on earthly lands
amid decorations luminous ahead
two ghostly lovers may be seen holding hands ...
beware! as false frills become magnets to draw
fierce wolf man is always nearby with sharp claw.
mysterious legends entice those unseen
to strange secret castle haunting Halloween.
