The Minimalist

Most crimes have foundations of desperation- disdain-hate. What is your foundation made of? Are you desperate-do you hate? Would you take a life for a hit of crystal meth. Is your hate based on jealousy-revenge? What happened to prayer and discipline? What about the criminally insane. Do we let them work out their kinks across the neck of society. Do we lock them away.... discard the key. There's a pair of crazy eyes heading for the school. Not much we can do but hunker down... and pray the carnage is minimal.

There's a lot of truth in this poem. We all need to guard our hearts and minds against hatred.
