Hate

I look in the mirror To glimpse my face All the while I’m looking for peace But there’s little trace A sadness pervades my heart As I silently berate Those who won’t listen to me Which causes this hate To be told what’s wrong With compassion given late And seemingly endless times When I’m only told to wait Then to be told my problems Are not that severe What should I do Cherish them and revere? I’ve spent so much time And now I feel it’s too late To keep my happiness ‘cause now…it’s all hate
