Harmony - Peace, Not War

We dream of peace on Earth- what is this peace
   we yearn and pray for in our life?  We think
of days when wars no longer threaten- cease
   world conflicts so to spread that freedom’s link-
to claim God-given rights for all on Earth;
   to live unburdened, free as we should be-
each person, with an equal chance from birth,
   to live in treasured peace and harmony.

Though many try to live in freedom's light
   with peace and love the center of their goals,
world leaders bear the cross to keep their sight
   on freedom- not disastrous wars and tolls.

We wonder will this miracle ensue-
   and pray that peace on Earth someday is true.
