Happy New Year
At the end of the dusk,
And the birth of a new dawn,
When a new day of glory,
With a New Year is born,
You wake up from your slumber,
As you leave behind, all weep,
With a basket of fond memories,
Feel warm, while the chill sets deep.
At the line across the track,
You start your run,
With newfound confidence,
Chasing a rainbow of expectations.
As the chime emanates,
From a distant church hymn,
Wish a new year of peace,
For the Almighty’s ‘Mankind’.
