HAPPY BIRTHDAY SILENT ONE! A tribute written using your quotes,to you,my partner in poetry, for guiding me poetically and beyond for so many years, thank you for everything you are!

Birds
care not
for whom they
sing, as beneath
skies of flickering
flowers and diamond dews~
we follow merlot wine rays..
For between steel dusk and bronze dawn,
where shadows of silent sonnets flow
we are all petals of imperfection
sharing the same sun glazed in honeyed hope~
that floats from purple hued pansies to~
ebony buds, wrapped in lilac 
love and wisteria warmth, 
like a blue bouquet of,
blissful butterflies
fluttering inked~
poetry
to the 
stars
and 
soul of
the rose moon,
mirroring his
selfless silhouette 
forever calming the
freckled ripples of grieving 
seas, tonight my heart knits rhymeless
pleas in saffron syllables, wishing
his gemini garden will glow and thrive…

Silent One's presence and encouragement on Poetry Soup were not just appreciated, but they left an indelible mark on many of us new poets when we first joined. Yours is a positive energy like no others Empress, your poetry has awakened something inside of me and I've learned so much from you and Silent One. I strive to use colorful imagery. I've grown numb perhaps even callous from love's unrelenting fickle passionate dance. Metaphors are difficult. I hope one day to open up these unexplored arenas within me. My sweet Ink.. I don't think anyone has ever made this fuss about me on my birthday... You always know how to make it that extra bit special, even though you know i dont really celebrate... I will overcome the embarrassment of all the attention and take all the blessings and love you offer me with upmost gratitude.. Thank you for being a special and wonderful friend in the last few years, not sure what I would do without you.. sometimes... Thanks my little Kundalini...
