Happy 100th Birthday Sweet Joyce

One angel placed upon the Spruce Christmas tree, “she is only a heart stop away”… that innocent girl Joycie. Dear lady Joyce started writing at the age of eighty, and so many wars and the Great Depression she did see. Growing up on the family farm was her legacy. No love compares to her all her daughter’s affection, for with them all she shares a deep and lasting connection. Her favorite tulips have been tended to with perfection, and at age eighty started writing with the gift of reflection. Now she has a wonderful and beautiful poetry collection. It’s been thirty-two years in this month since her mom departed, for she was her heart and soul, where her heritage started. Her noodle soup was the best; so kind and wholehearted, and taught Joyce many lessons in territory uncharted. She can’t wait to see her again, it’s been hard since they parted. At the age of ten she used to slide and play in the snow, and always enjoyed watching the gardens grow. Jesus is her answer when she’s full of pain and woe, for it has been Him who has taught her to let go. The Savior takes her hand with a gentle hand aglow. Her doggie Muffin is now her fur-angel with adoration, for Joyce was so grateful for her beautiful creation. Muffin always brought her a secure and loving sensation, her tragic death so hard with days filled with trepidation. But for that little sweet girl loved so much she felt appreciation. A Monte Carlo was her first car in her youthful days, she took care of her baby in so many fond ways. Seven miles to the gallon is all she got anyways, with poor performance on the side roads and highways. That car would be legendary and classic nowadays. October second is her daughter’s loving birthday, a banana layered birthday cake she made on display. She would hang out with family while the kids did play, and in a birthday card endearing words she did say. She had so much fun she wished her birthday was everyday! These are just a few simple memories Joyce has lived through, and she has brought so much loving joy to both me and you. I remember the first poem I read of hers, it was “Something New”, it was so marvelous and beautiful, for Joyce is precious and few. Joyce if you are reading this, I am proud of the things you do! *Dedicated to a wonderful and beautiful dear poetess. I have really enjoyed reading so many amazing poems you have written. May your birthday be filled with tons of smiles and hugs Joyce!! Be blessed :) Happy 100th Birthday April 18, 2018
