Hands To Yourself
Strength lies in the intricate
delicacies in which
I hold her weaknesses
intimately. Professing
her strengths
as if it were
identifying marks
like that of fingerprints
No confession needed
Yes I did it!
Had my hands
all over her design
grappling with the idea
of how to make her mine
Simple ways
imagining holding
her head in my hands,
and it not being a dream.
Need this, "So
it would seem to be"
to evaporate and append
a rainbow of realities
whereby I
can pin
new promises in my sky
God gift wrapping
precious cargo
wherever the delivery,
I will follow.
A rewritten anthem
My pride and silent
protest
that causes enormous
unrest. Each one,
reach for one and
hold on tight
make love like
a crime is about
to be committed
without ever going
further than
fingertips caressing skin
Spiritually knocking
on her body's door,
Her mind says
"Go away"
but her soul yearns
for whispered
safe words.
Ready to split her personality,
making her mad
and satisfied
all at the same
damn time.
