Hallucination
HALLUCINATION
That night I felt the skin burn in fever
Heart pumping blood to brain more than required
I sensed floating on thin air forever
Vapor eyes strained to clear vision blurred
As they looked through wobbling window outward.
A pale figure flickered on window pane
Waving hands behind the curling curtain
The known old tree turned an apparition
A friend long gone came to see me again
Mind shaped the past with hallucination.
