Halloween Magic
Howling and wailing into the night
A scary mask-fest causing some fright.
Lifts to neighborhoods not even in sight,
Loot gathered, yet, we dare not take a bite.
Owls, witches, and Jack-o-lanterns in sight.
Wee children well-costumed, left and right.
Each in the way, carrying a light.
Each super hero costume put on tight.
No one knows who is who; it feels right.
Minnie Mouse and Mickeys shining bright.
A homemade London Bridge with lots of height.
Getting crowded, curfew almost in sight.
Ignoring the mob, full bag held tight.
Collecting sweet candy into the night.
