Hallowed Eve of the Living Dead
I approach the hallowed eve of the living dead
With spooky awareness of impending doom,
Accompanied by intense feelings of mortal dread.
I can’t get creepy silhouettes out of my head
Mirrored in ugly scenes of descending gloom,
I approach the hallowed eve of the living dead.
Halloween finds me walking toward my bed,
Hosts of wretched creatures entering my room
Accompanied by intense feelings of mortal dread.
Ghouls and goblins are celebrating in red
A wedding of witches with a Dracula-like groom
I approach the hallowed eve of the living dead.
Zombies are snarling, impatient to be fed
While an evil, deformed troll escapes a tomb
Accompanied by intense feelings of mortal dread.
Darkness reveals what has often been said
Evil lurks in the open this night, we presume,
I approach the hallowed eve of the living dead
Accompanied by intense feelings of mortal dread.
