Half of Me

He is all about his family What he does is for them Loyal and committed A loving man and true friend He is talented but humble Hardworking without complaint Kind , thoughtful, genuine With integrity and restraint My lifetime confidant My anchor when drowning in the sea of life He understands me like no other Steadfast when my woes become irrational or rife He is quirky, innately funny We laugh constantly Connected by our souls “I am him and he is me” Together since our mid teens Until now….our golden time A lifetime shared side by side “Of mine is his and his is mine” I don’t remember life before him It has always just been “we” Don’t know what i would do without him He is simply the other half of me!
