Half Face

The silence is piercing, terrorism is imminent Like waiting on the plate for the ball to be pitched No idea of direction, speed or strength On guard I wait, to cover my base The curve ball from left is what to expect The attack so severe, the defence so weak Moments of fear, destruction and toture My tears are a weapon Strike one. I'm down nowhere to run Face onslaught of what's about to take place Strike two. I beg, yet on my knees Time ticking by with anticipation high Strike three. I'm out it's time to go Strike me one, I chose pain Strike me twice, I chose to save face Strike me three times, I chose to walk on the path of safety With chains and road blocks, it doesn't matter anymore Atleast I ran with my half face Strike me. Never again

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Have a blessed day.
