This haiku is so full of meaning, my dear friend Tim! I grew up around horses till I was round 7 yrs old, and ended sadly when my parents got divorced. I liked your haiku. Hugs and the best to you Tim! xxx D.

Happy for my haiku to have brought back nostalgia for you - even if it's tinged with a little bit of sadness. My niece got a horse for her 8th birthday and she loves him!

When a child gets on a horse he becomes that knight which he always dreams of! An experienced horse should know and be prepared for that!! .. that's why a whinny, which is a welcoming gentle cry. lovely write // paul

You know I actually like your interpretation of my haiku, rather than my own. In my mind it was a literal knight... but a child pretending he is a knight if a much more delightful image. You have a keen and discerning eye, Paul.
