  the boat lay tilted to one side-

I really love your last line, but I'm curious ... did you have those glowing rainbow fish in mind when you wrote it? They are the most unique looking creatures I've ever seen and can only be found in Mariana's Trench. If you do a google search, I think you can find them ... they look like a combination of a robot and a fish! Anyway ... I'll stop rambling. Good haiku!
