Had It Not Been For
Had It Not Been For
By: Tom Wright
Mar. 2, 1998
Had there not been a virgin birth,
no third cross, no trembling earth.
If an empty tomb there hadn't been,
there'd have been no payment for our sin.
No footprints found near Galilee,
no hope there'd be for you and me.
Praise him today and again on Monday,
not once a year, on Easter Sunday
Some put on finery and to church go,
but the risen Savior they do not know.
The living God, that we one day must face,
if we be saved, it will be through grace.
