Had Been Humming
Had Been Humming
Written after seeing modern rendition of Cinderella
Cinderella, where could they send her
Of good heart and so honest and pure
Smile sweet as sugar so it did seem
Movie was like being in a big dream.
By lovely lady playing part was lured
From her unhappiness could she be cured?
Film all the way to finish from its start
Left an impression on your heart.
Children cried and to eyes tears would bring
After they had seen such a sad thing
Pretty things were at each scene's exposure
Causing me to maintain my composure.
Movie had been close to reaching an end
And chills up my spine it started to send
That gradually worked their way down
When I saw her in a beautiful gown.
What would I do if were to have a choice
Return again and hear her great voice
And all of the music was becoming
Returned home and it we have been humming.
