Guy Who Wrote a Lullaby
Guy Who Wrote a Lullaby
Guitar playing a challenge has become
Have many songs you can be humming
Which one will be easiest to play today
God I hope will be bringing my way.
Started becoming nervous complete wreck
Running my fingers up and down the neck
Picking out notes trying to play a tune
Wife thought I was a nut and big baboon.
Everyone all around was starting to see
I was always awkward as could ever be
And people near me really did rejoice
When they didn't have to hear my voice.
First thing I did do was to play a lullaby
Then myself to sleep would cry and cry
Woke with fingers attached to my palms
Won't either be a Beethoven or a Brahms.
Wasn't Brahms the guy who wrote a lullaby?
