Notes About The Poem

The White House orchestrated a fantastic media event designed to appeal to its cult members. To that end, the administration deported men without due process and without evidence of crimes committed in the United States. Although we have no idea who these men are, the administration insists they are violent criminals, rapists, and murderers. The attached video account seems surreal, but reflects our transition from democracy to autocracy. What happens to anyone rounded up by mistake? OMG, they almost accidently put Hegseth on the plane because of his tattoo.

Trump’s sport-like media report
Features flights at night
With head-shaven blight
And the hog-walked men we deport

What slave asks for anything more
Than a rave in El Salvador?
With expenses paid 
In dirt they’ll get laid
While six million bucks pays our whore

Nette, when someone is that obsessed for attention, makes me wonder what kind of childhood they had. It would probably benefit him to be sent to the poorest place on Earth for a while and have him personally appreciate what people do to survive.

Maureen, it saddens many of us here who believe in human dignity. It's clear our current leadership views the world like a chess board and have no concept of what it means to see your own family destroyed. They must have had some pretty rotten experiences when young, and now they want to take it out on all of us. Smiles!!

Will Trump become an Emperor of Planet Earth, could he become a Dictator, a deep rooted egotist, he does and says what he wants when he wants as he wants and has no regard for any law anywhere, Mexico, Canada, Denmark, friends with Putin but still threatening Russia with Economic Sanctions, head-shaven men , alleged members of the Venezuelan gang, deported to El Salvador and so much more, what should America and the world expect next! Thanks for this comment Jennifer. It's all rather bizarre and sad. It's almost hard to believe it's really happening. Great inspiration for satire, but quite unfortunate to those who believe in the rule of law and in law and order. The glee DT and associates have for disruption seems a bit childish and grotesque to say the least. Smiles!

Tom, that is funny! Amazing how he’ll do all sorts of evil to corner the media. Those who know seem to say it’s a plot to divert attention from his ultimate goal of self-enrichment. We know he does have to be the center of attention.

Anne-Lise, while part of this is DT’s narcissistic desire for a photo op and looking for media attention, it’s reminiscent of a death march and doesn’t portend well for peace and sanity. Disturbing video. Take care.

We pay for El Salvador to take deportees and lock them up forever and it's said to be the most brutal and torturous jail, 1000's do not make it to the second round, I wrote about it.. “Judgement” 7/7/2023 There are the innocent ones who are denied a fair trial, it's sad to think that nothing can be done for a mother's innocent son. The rights group said it had obtained photographs and mortuary reports showing bodies with signs of “asphyxiation, [bone] fractures, significant bruising, lacerations and even perforations”. Some appeared to have died of malnutrition. Nearly half of the victims were men aged between 18 and 38. The NGO claimed some prisoners had been tortured with electric shocks.

Anaya, thanks for this comment. I read your poem and liked it. If we start asking questions about how this all occurred, the answers are not pretty or flattering for us. It goes back to the question of immigration in general and how we solve it. Could we help make life better at the source so people don't feel as threatened? There's something called root cause analysis...the border is a symptom and closing it makes us feel better short term, but doesn't address the real issue.

It's all happening over there isnt it... He really know hows to get the headlines... Seems to be he just wants to be outrages.. some of his policies disgust me, but there seems to be a lot of support of him over there.... Here in the Uk it is only the right wing minded who seem to adhere to him... Another great limerick as always my friend.. Hope all is well with you..

Thanks SO. DT does love the attention. While the extreme of it is psychotic, it’s unfortunate that many get hurt from his impulsive and egotistical behavior. Nevertheless, resistance will increase as more and more people realize he’s for himself and his bank account only. Make America Great is a euphemism for F the rest of the world. Many of us do not consider that a viable long-term plan. So, we’re not planning to buy a Tesla, and we expect many countries will stop using Spacex for satellite launches since his convenient wannabe trillionaire is financing this colossal screw up.

Hmm so much is happening! Dear duke! Hope you are doing well! I jusy got back on here and been responding to my comments and here im reading this. One reason why i do not read news cus its always so very disappointing and whats happening right now in the world too is not so pleasant. With nothing going as expected or promised and thats what politicians often do before every election. I still hope for the best! You should publish a book of limericks on this subject and how every day of the new govt has been impacting individuals from your eyes. As you always do! Sending you light always

Hi IE, as unpleasant as the news is here, we’ll never let it ruin our perceptions and feelings. A lot of it is to distract from the main focus of Musk and Trump, which is to protect and increase the wealth of the mega rich and themselves. Unfortunately, a lot of people get victimized in the process. Some innocent people were deported to El Salvador and will languish in prison there. We’re resisting. Smiles!!

Shades of Hitler sending Jews to concentration camps. Claims that the planes had already taken off before the court order to prevent it... uh huh. The only thing missing are women and children, but they'll feel the sting of the sting. Two Limericks this time, Duke. I could read more. ;-)

Thanks Lin, this is pretty serious bad. We hope people wake up and resist before this gets even worse. I'll likely take a break for a few days after addressing comments, and I would like to see what some other people have written. I maintain that no matter what, we will never let the billionaire oligarchs and autocrats take our inner sense of joy that comes from living a normal and giving life. Helping others is a real joy. Smiles!!
