In the lavender hills, beyond the sunset
where happiness pours out her gentling
creating a glow, faintly flowing
remembering the heart of summer’s blue
in indigo skies, soft and whimsical
lasting music, songs fading on the night
autumn’s laughter, stirring
the winds, the seas, the mysteries life leaves…
In the still of a silent forest
broken thoughts, grief-stricken solace
words of comfort, unfolding
on the heart’s breathless promises
in colors of inspiration,
graceful and giving – like the oaks
who feed twilight’s music
songs of hope, songs of amazing
lasting praises….
In the moments before sun casts its shadows
over the meadows, over the silence
where the trees blow,
amazed by silhouettes
written by dreams, beckoning
like hues of melancholic grief
awakened by fires,
chorus of light, fading across limbs
hidden beneath prayers
secrets so rare, rays of pure lasting peace
finding wings…
In the river’s flow, an echo
only the spirit knows
what has happened beneath the surge
roaring, loud as the gush of words
beneath a prayer, honest
like the color of a feeling
emotional healing, breathing
alive as the dance,
graceful and willing to take a chance
glorious and still….
In the distance, I see you there
risking the answers,
speaking your silent prayers
with a fading light, twilight’s careful
stare, revealing the moment
the endless so aware, you’re ever there
a piece of the moon, stars
sinking into the black cool – clever
as the shades of truth, tempting
me to remember, this past September
before the reflections of the night
left me free and elated
by the amazing….
In the prayers, where I tremble
with a hope that knows
He is with me, ever giving
always fulfilling,
like the music of a heart
who is worshipping, praising
the One who knows
whatever comes, whatever hope
there is love that never doubts
there is love that sees through the clouds,
love that reveals what it means to shout –
everlasting, its what life is about….
God of love, God up above
the answer to all prayer,
the reason that we care,
He is always there
with love to share – I’m always aware
He is there and He will always care
and He gives me love that I’m meant to share,
love that comes from the heart’s prayer….
God of love, God up above….
Always know – He’s life’s groundwork
His battle is sparked by the hearts once lost
now they’ve been found, saved
by the grace that bled that day
on Calvary’s cross – He gave all
despite the cost…
He gave all so we’re no longer lost
we have a Savior who is ever near
He fights the shadows and the fears
He is the One who abides – sincere
He brings hope to the heart who doubts
He brings light so we can find the way out
He is the One who leaves sin in the past
So we’re forever saved from the bad
And we know the wonder of love that is glad
Never forget – He’s the light who shines
Brighter than the sun – He is the unending Son
The One who never fades, never goes out
He burns on and on, forever guiding us home.
