Early in the morning
Before the dew begins to dry
I find myself discerning
The wonders of my heart’s wealth,
Jesus Christ, my greatest blessing
As I read through a devotion
Bending my ear toward His word
I find myself determining
The miracles untold – He has given
Gifts, alive, from His Holy Spirit
Belonging to the Son of all creation
Listening to His grace awakening
My heart and soul, my hope
I find myself stronger than ever
A soldier for the One who sanctifies
Arising to delight in His kindness
The everlasting peace, the light
Reflecting on His promises,
His grace and mercy always alive
Within me, where He gives me peace
Yearning for the joy that abides
With those who listen to His words
Feeling all the goodness within
Because He gives such elation
His love provides sweetest inspiration
Whispering to the rain, to the pain
Resounding words of love and faith
His kindness amazes, and I praise Him
With a heart that is alive
Pouring out music that will survive
Early in the morning,
Just before dawn, as the silence
Sings such a beautiful song,
I reach out my heart to Him, believing
He is the One I will never think of grieving!
Ephesians 4:30 (KJV) 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
