Hi Sara, This is an exquisite Haiku with an equally endearing narrative. I value your insights on Toy. Much appreciated Howard

Winter is the time when squirrels hoard nuts in their granaries. Great haiku.

Valsa, that squirrel is really good at getting those almond and cashews that are in the bird seed. The bluejays and crows like those as well. I hope I don't end up with that kind of wild bird seeds again. Sara K

Thank you, Charles for the nice review of my work. We are getting snow. A nice white graces the air. I did not think it would stick but it is so we don't know what the next few days will hold. Sara K

Andrea, glad you loved it. I bought birdseed and it had rank cashew nuts and almonds in it. The squirrel has been busy burying those big nuts,. LOL..I wonder if I would have an almond tree coming up in my garden. Sara K

Hi Sara: I spell gray with an A but have sometimes spelt it with an E. I believe both are correct. I love watching our squirrels antics. They love to come and steal the seed we put out for the cardinals, wrens and chickadees. Hope you are keeping warm. SuZ

Suzanne, I have been told not to spell gray with an e because it is the old English, and I think over the pond it is still spelled with an e. Thanks for dropping by and taking time to comment. Sara K
