The earth has music for those who listen ~ William Shakespeare
Being grateful for what I have
Is easier than listening
To the worry that tells me
I don’t have it all – enough – or plenty
I’m grateful – so much – so thankful
For the little things
That embrace my spirit
With inspiration, kindness - feeling
I’m grateful for my faith
It sends me through the thoughts
That flicker like sunlight
Across my soul, coloring me warm
I’m grateful for my joy
It winks in my eyes, laughing
Sighing across my spirit
On the wings of dancing familiarity
I’m grateful for my hope
It listens to my heart
Breathes happiness so divine
I strive to live humbly, simply
I’m grateful for my love
It lights my thoughts with pearls
Of acceptance, compassion, strength
The knowing that God is with me
I’m grateful for the promise
Of a life abiding in grace
Whispering belief into my path
As I pray a prayer of praise
I’m grateful that God
Is alive and waiting
To send down His blessing
On my plans, ambitions and dreams
I’m grateful that I live
With the assurance that I can
Give back from my heart
A part of the love that I have
I’m grateful – for everything!
