Grandfather
My hero is gone now,
He was a real man,
among real men.
They walked tall,
in his time.
They took no guff,
spit, and shook your hand.
Their “word”,
each, and every “one”,
chiseled in stone,
carved in ivory
and counted as gold.
Dignity.
