Graceful Aging
What grace does lie upon your face
Of lines that life has drawn.
Your smile still lights up your eyes
that reflects the beauty at dawn.
The dimple upon your cherub cheek
still speaks of the young girl
Who's flame red hair is now gone silver
yet frames your face in curls.
Frailness robs your body of strength
but not your will to live
With all that you are in your heart
you gave all that you could give
Now bent and wheelchair bound
you sit waiting for the phone
Just wanting to here a familar voice
To know your not forgotten and alone
