Grace and Solitude

Grace took my hand and showed me how to live, she said to live with great morals; and always have dignity and forgive, and to try to avoid quarrels; and work to be honored with sweet laurels. Solitude wrapped me in his arms, he said quiet seclusion has it's charms; let your head empty of all thoughts, don't let forlorn set off all your alarms; be detached, let go of all knots. They whispered- let withdrawal be your balm; let it be music for your calm_ _____________________ May 5, 2020 Poetry/Rhyme/Grace and Solitude Copyright Protected, ID 20-1248-909-03 All Rights Reserved, 2020, Constance La France Written for the contest, Grace and Solitude sponsor, John Hamilton Third Place

"Solitude wrapped me in his arms, he said quiet seclusion has it's charms;" - this is describing what is happening all over the world now and there must be some goodness coming from it. Nicely done.

Beautiful tribute to your two comforters, Grace and Solitude. I love your rhymes and how you structured this like a dizain plus a summary couplet. This made me smile, Constance. Good luck to you in the G&S contest. Hugs ~ John
