Thanks, Lin. Humour is a funny old thing. Version one of this was, at best, mildly amusing. When I got the u boat captain to speak the final line, it just felt funnier. Maybe I’m just a bit odd ;-)

I hope I don’t offend anybody here. I wrote it completely in English with the title ‘Sky watch’… it wasn’t funny, but when I added the German (which I don’t speak) it took on a whole different feel. I’m guessing that you learned your grasp of German, as I did, from comics… ie Achtung, schnell, and of course, Gott im Himmel ;-)
