Gospel Artists' Christmas
Like a rushing wind, spirit that’s within
Belt out the strains of praise that raise
The living dead in me
The gospel writers and artists, heroes and fighters
Are saving this planet one soul at a time
Raise hands in praise
LORD you alone can gift us tune and tone
To surrender to Spirit, human ears forfeit
To stand in awe at the Cross
I’ll never know how much it cost
To send your Son upon that Cross
I weep before Thy love with song
Those lilting, sincere melodies mix praise and cries
As those who go before allow us their shoulders
As ladders ... gladder or sadder choices
