Notes About The Poem

Goosesteppin' Out

I dedicate my obsequiously fawning poem
to our own Wonder Woman, Ms. Kristi Noem
To refugees and puppies she's oh so mean
But, alas, she's our Homeland Security queen

Demonstrations abhor our sexy fashionista cop
of her cowboy garb and fancy shades they chant STOP!
Others applaud her iron implacable will
along with her cousin, Ms. Cruella De Ville

Just mention her name and MAGA eyes grow misty
As they march in step to the orders of goosesteppin' Kristie
Crush ICE! they shout, this is our home
you're the alien invader, Ms. Kristi Noem

Isn't the one who shot her own dog, killing him? I have one word for you Kristi: Karma. Plus, if I am right does she hold the same position anymore? this so called queen...RIGHT ON Robert.

Well-penned there, Robert. While I disagree with most of the content, the form is most admirable. (And I don't mean Christy's). ~ Lawn Norder

I beg to differ, her form is the only admirable thing about her (lol).

Loving this work Robert. She is a strange one indeed. The way you point this out seems right on target. We live in strange times!!

It seems like a Monty Python version of a police state. Wish I could laugh!

A fantastic poem! Great word, 'obsequiously' it's them, servile, to d.t. on his thrown. She a poser, dresses up for her glib speeches, in surplus military garb. You are so funny Robby. Faving!

As Mel Brooks knows, humor is a good way to combat intolerance & bigotry. Thanks
