August whispers its gentle goodbye
Painting the moments in fragile sighs
Escaping summer with its blue sky
Listening to winds as they chastise
Blurring all hopes, all dreams and designs
Painting the moments in fragile sighs
Rains rush to the earth, stirring headlines
The season turns dark, hushing the sun
Blurring all hopes, all dreams and designs
Warm inklings, August won’t be outdone
Captive of the song telling what’s gone
The season turns dark, hushing the sun
Seasonal bliss we’ll take a chance on
Summer’s past, ultimately, we’ll rest
Captive of the song telling what’s gone
Without doubt, August’s been rightly blessed
August whispers its gentle goodbye
Summer’s past, ultimately, we’ll rest
Escaping summer with its blue sky
