Goodbye To a Friend

GOODBYE TO A FRIEND
I had a friend but, I had to let her go
We are both upset and the tears did flow
I had a friend but, I had to say goodbye
No-one can say I didn’t try
We were friends off and on for ten years
We shared the laughter and the tears
We both have Bipolar and it came between us
Earth to earth and dust to dust
She has the highs and I have the lows
It’s nobody’s fault, that we both know
I will miss her and she will miss me
But our friendship can no longer be
I had a friend but, I had to say goodbye
That’s all I can say before it makes me cry.

Yes writing a poem is cathartic and thearapeutic. I like Free Verse, Verse. Haiku. Tank,.and more. I have never done a limerick. I find them hard to do. I also do Acrostic and more.
