Good To the Bone--A First Grader's Story

It's time to tell my story of what started back when I was four, When I was outside playing with my little kittens I adored. I noticed two were sweet and played so nicely, but the other two were rough and mean. They'd always make the meek ones cry. Right then a new thought came to me. What if I could make mean cats nicer when they play? Then I said "Be good" as I touched the meanies' noses. Right then they got nicer. They were really good for five whole days. Again I tried my magic spell. It worked! I am a super hero with great pride. My super powers worked inside on my much-older brothers too. Our parents can't believe how nice they are to me. They have no clue about what's going on. They think my brothers got nice on their own! I'll change those first-grade bullies too and make them all good to the bone! written June 13, 2016, for the Lewis Raynes MY Super Power Is Poetry Contest He said, "Let's all be kids again."
