GOOD MORNING SOUL  next

Good morning, soul,

Today, I’m going to write

You a poem my mind

Suggested to me last night.

Relax, my soul,

This poem will be

One of joyous tears

Of the two sons I miss;

Sons that gave me such bliss:-

This poem flows itself with keloid

Memories of those loving times,

Canvassing how God could

Could have so pleasingly

Wanted them both back:-

It is not a poem

Of wailing lamentations

Of a broken, painful heart;

Rather,  it’s a praise to God

For all the crazy fun that we had:

However, my dear soul,

This poem could never cover

All those wonderful short years

That filled this old heart with such joy,

Flooding its aged orbs with grateful tears:-

Yeah, the Lawd giveth,

And the Lawd taketh away:-

Bless’it be tha name of tha Lawd,

Each and evah day, He shared

          Those sons He sent my way:-
