Good Light Not Goodnight
Lots of fun and lots of play
but the night will butt the day
such a shame to pull the shades
what is streaming but black out parades
birds have bid their farewell
nature has turned in, sure you can tell
the sun is setting, that’s sad to say
if only the night would stay away
the waves will crash amidst the dark
the moon finds a place to park
nightingales call upon the owls to wake
blinking of fireflies seen across the lake
oh! such festivities are happening so late
but can hear the bullfrogs calling for a date
if stars were bigger then you could see
that night and day would be a unity
