Gone With the Wind
I asked about the Chimariko tribe
When spring was in full bloom
I got the answer in the wind
And all I felt was gloom
I searched to find the Timucua tribe
in the summer of the rains
I heard the answer in the thunder
And all I felt was pain
I searched to find the Calusa tribe
When autumn winds were due
And when I heard the answer
All I felt was blue
Never saw them in the history books
But in movies they were portrayed
Often seen as savages
But we never knew their ways
But they were indeed great warriors
And a proud people too
But once they met the Europeans
These warriors were through.......
